I.
Get a grip on this ego thinking.
Make the blame, the shame to stop.
Soon I am off to do a chore.
Make me kind, gentle, joy filled; loving!
II.
Oh, the blame, the shame did stop,
because we went to McConnell Spring.
It made me kind, gentle, joyful & loving.
We had coffee at a downtown shop.
III.
We visited McConnell Spring
and learned a bit of Lexington lore.
We even had coffee in a downtown shop.
Now I’m in my woods ’til it starts raining.
IV.
Still in my mind is Lexington lore,
but there are thoughts of my dried mop.
Nonetheless, I’m here in my woods ’til it starts raining.
The mop can wait-it’s only a chore.
V.
I should put up the dried mop
for I’ve done all my chores.
There’s no need to do one more chore.
So there you are, that’s my grip on my ego thinking.
